OVERVIEW
Built upon the gameplay of the classic 2048 and familiar roguelike mechanics, 2048 Rogue promises to deliver an incredibly engaging puzzle experience. In this game, players combine tiles to create creatures or objects of higher value. Players begin on a 4x4 grid; the game ends when there are no empty spaces left on the grid.
Game modes
- Endless mode: choose one of three themes, Medieval Village, Medieval Kingdom, or Modern City, and continue merging tiles without letting the grid fill up.
- Story mode: progress through a series of levels with increasing difficulty while uncovering never-before-revealed storylines within the game.
HOW TO PLAY
Select a game mode
If you are a new player, you might want to start with Story Mode. Once you enter a level, swipe the tiles to move them all simultaneously in a specific direction.
Merge identical tiles
When you merge two tiles containing identical items, you create a new tile containing a higher-level item. For example, combining two eggs creates a chick. Continue merging strategically to create high-value objects and earn higher scores. However, the grid can fill up quickly if you make only random moves. Therefore, stay focused and plan your moves in advance.
Clear levels
If you are playing in Story Mode, strive to unlock new levels and characters. In Endless Mode, try to keep the grid from filling up for as long as possible. Regardless of which mode you play, however, the challenges will gradually become more difficult as you progress further into the game.
