Block Blast is a block-puzzle game inspired by the classic Tetris but refreshed with several standout features. There are no time limits in this game; instead, players can focus entirely on arranging the colorful blocks.
GAMEPLAY
In each turn, you are presented with three different blocks at the bottom of the screen. Your task is to drag and drop them onto the 8x8 grid above to form complete rows or columns. When a row or column is filled, it clears to make room for new blocks, and you earn points. The game ends when there is no remaining space to place new blocks.
Scoring system
- Basic scoring: you earn 10 points each time a horizontal row or vertical column is cleared.
- Combo and multiplier system: the game encourages clearing multiple rows or columns simultaneously. Clearing several rows or columns in a single turn yields a higher score than clearing them individually.
- Bonus points for special achievements: the game offers special rewards for impressive feats such as filling multiple rows or columns with a single block or keeping the 8x8 grid uncluttered for an extended period.
Tips
- Observe the entire 8x8 grid and identify the best placement for each block.
- Maintain flexible open space, especially in the center and corners; these areas are crucial for handling larger blocks.
- Avoid focusing solely on one corner or side of the board.
- Before placing the current block, try to identify potential spots for all three blocks currently at the bottom of the screen.
