Speed Stars is a rhythm-based sprint simulation game where accuracy and posture control determine the outcome.
GAMEPLAY
Speed Stars operates on a physics-driven rhythm system. Each alternating key press generates forward momentum. However, that momentum is only sustained if the rhythm is also maintained consistently.
Players can participate in various athletic events.
- Short sprints (like the 100 m dash)
- Hurdles challenges (110 m or 400 m)
- A 4x100m relay
- Practice freely.
Your stamina is displayed by a green bar at the top of the screen. Pushing too hard too soon can deplete your stamina, especially in long runs.
Tips and tricks
Two mechanical zones
- Efficient Zone (Upright Posture): Energy is smoothly converted into forward velocity. This is maximum efficiency.
- Slow Zone (Forward Lean): The system redirects energy to maintain balance. Acceleration is affected.
If you hold down the key for too long, the character's center of gravity will shift forward. The physics system will then prioritize maintaining balance over increasing speed. Speed will decrease immediately. Therefore, if you see your character leaning forward, shorten the key press to restore an upright posture.
