Sift Renegade is the opening installment of the popular Renegade series. The game puts the player in the role of Kiro, a Yakuza member who is trying to find the killer of his brother.
Plot
The plot revolves around Kiro, a Yakuza member who is on a journey to avenge his brother's death. After a mysterious assassination in the Yakuza territory, Kiro receives news from the Triad Chief that his friend, Shawn, has violated the contract between the Triad Clan and the Yakuza. During the investigation, Kiro finds Shawn seriously injured and uncovers the Triads' involvement in his brother's death. However, when confronting the Triad Chief, he denies responsibility and implies that the Yakuza themselves have a traitor. After many fierce battles, Kiro returns to face the Yakuza Chief and discovers the truth that he himself hired the assassin Vinnie to kill his brother. Kiro kills the leader and finds evidence of the assassination contract, opening a new journey of revenge in the next parts.
GAMEPLAY
In terms of gameplay, Sift Renegade has a strong hack-and-slash style. Players will control Kido in hand-to-hand combat or confront multiple enemies at the same time. Kiro's main weapon is the katana sword. Besides, he can also use ninja darts to attack from a distance. The fast-paced battles require players to strike accurately and dodge at the right time.
