GENERAL OVERVIEW

BlockScape.io is a browser-based voxel MMO (massively multiplayer online game) that combines block-building mechanics with long-term skill progression. Most block-based games revolve around fast-paced combat or purely open-world construction. This game, however, brings a breath of fresh air to the genre. It focuses on traditional MMO design rather than quick matches. Players must train four specific skills and upgrade their characters throughout their gameplay journey.

GAMEPLAY

Resource gathering

Initially, stay within safe zones to harvest wood and basic minerals. While the process may seem slow, it is the only way to establish your initial defenses before venturing into dangerous territories. Once gathered, organize your resources within your inventory. You can use these raw materials to craft weapons and armor - two essential items you should never leave behind when stepping outside the safe zones.

Combat and trading

The monsters roaming the map will not hesitate to try and steal your loot. You must strive to survive these encounters to safeguard your valuable items.

Players play an active role in driving the game's economy. Throughout your playthrough, you can collect precious gems and rare materials. You can choose to hoard these items for yourself or trade with other players to acquire the gear you desire.
