The original version of Minecraft
Minecraft Classic is the original version, laying the foundation for the entire Minecraft series that followed. Unlike the Alpha, Beta, or 1.0 versions, Classic offers the purest sandbox experience. This version doesn't offer features like crafting or a proper inventory. Players also won't see any characters other than their own. The world in Classic is randomly generated but has a limited size. Therefore, players can focus on exploring a specific area more deeply.
FREE-FORM GAMEPLAY
Minecraft Classic allows you to use countless different types of blocks to build anything you imagine. However, you can only lay cobblestone with the old texture. This is a detail that strongly reflects the early days of Minecraft. Unlike modern Creative Mode, players cannot fly, making construction more challenging. A unique feature only found in this version is the ability of sponges to absorb water.
Game modes
